Little Luke is the guardian Amphibian that tends Susan’s magical Sea Shell garden and lives in the small bower at the side. It was a Tuesday and he and Susan were going on a Geo-Adventure. Today Little Luke had on his blue coveralls with matching shoes looking every bit the well appointed garden Amphibian. Little Luke stepped out of his bower, opened the gate to the magical Sea Shell garden, noted the weak aura of the asparagus patch as he stepped by and knocked gently on the repurposed cat-door on the rear door of Susan’s cottage. There hadn’t been a cat living in the cottage since the last owners had kept several. The cats came and went, according to their mysterious neighborhood rounds schedule they never shared with anyone. Jessie, the rescue dog, answered with a single soft bark acknowledging Little Luke could enter so long as he wasn’t one of the long departed cats.

“We must do something about the Asparagus’s weak aura”, he said to Jessie who didn’t care one moldy bone about auras. Perhaps Susan would care about the Asparagus’s aura. “One can only hope.”, he thought. Little Luke tried to be a little more friendly to Jessie while Susan was fussing about getting ready to go on today’s grand Geocaching adventure. “Tell me” , he said to Jessie, “When you follow something’s scent: How long before the scent fades way?” Now this was something Jessie was expert with. “All creatures shed a part of their scent just by being physically somewhere.” “It lays there on the landscape where ever the creature goes and gradually fades away.” replied Jessie. “Do the scents you follow ever have a color?” asked Little Luke hoping to encourage Jessie. “Sometimes when I see an aura there maybe a scent but its very faint.” Little Luke continued. Jessie was not encouraging. “I only follow the scents, they never have colors of any sort, and they gradually fade away”. Little Luke had a puzzle to think about. Why did auras only seem to glow just where the creature was and what did it have to do with scents?
